
Stop Messing Around with Individual Tubes
Most engineers start the same way: they buy a few twin-tube infrared lamps, hunt down some brackets, and spend a few hours wiring everything together right there on the shop floor. It works fine when you’re just prototyping. But once you scale up to a full production line? That’s where the headache starts. Managing dozens of separate lamps is a nightmare. It’s a bottleneck you just don’t need. That’s why we do the heavy lifting for you. Instead of sending you a box of parts, we build pre-bent, integrated heating modules in our factory. You get a finished piece, not a puzzle.
The Secret to the Twin-Tube
Here is the deal with twin-tube lamps: you’ve got two filaments inside one quartz envelope. This basically doubles your heat output for every millimeter of space. You get a massive punch of heat without needing a bigger heating zone. When we bend these into curves, we have to be incredibly careful with the filament spacing. If we mess that up, you get hot spots. Even worse, if the bend is too tight, the quartz stresses out and the lamp just pops. We’ve dialed in the radius so these tubes can take a beating through constant heating and cooling without cracking.
Modules vs. Components
A turnkey module is a lot more than just a bent piece of glass. We’ve already handled the reflectors, the mounting hardware, and the wiring. It’s a drop-in replacement. You stop wasting man-hours on manual alignment and fiddling with wires. We use connectors like R7s or Sk15 depending on what your voltage needs are. Just a heads-up: high-wattage modules pull a lot of current. Make sure your power supply and cabling can actually handle the load. If they can’t, you’ll see voltage drops that kill your ramp-up time, and that’s a frustrating problem to troubleshoot.
The Trade-off
Now, there is a catch. Custom curved modules are amazing for getting heat around cylindrical parts, but they aren’t flexible. Once we bend a module to a specific radius, that’s it. It’s permanent. You have to get your machine dimensions exactly right the first time. If your chassis shifts or you change your mind about the layout, a rigid module isn’t going to budge. Measure twice. Then measure again.
