One single lamp fails, a quartz tube bursts, and suddenly you&amp;rsquo;ve got shards and chemical gunk everywhere. Just like that, an entire batch of wafers is scrap. It&amp;rsquo;s a nightmare.&#xA;We build our infrared heaters to make sure that doesn&amp;rsquo;t happen. It comes down to two things: better wiring and smart containment.&lt;/p&gt;&#xA;&lt;h2 id=&#34;why-were-obsessed-with-teflon-ptfe&#34;&gt;Why we&amp;rsquo;re obsessed with Teflon (PTFE)&lt;/h2&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;Most standard insulation just can&amp;rsquo;t handle the constant heating and cooling of a semiconductor environment. It gets brittle. It cracks.&#xA;That&amp;rsquo;s why we use high-grade Teflon (PTFE) for the electrical leads. It stays flexible and doesn&amp;rsquo;t off-gas when things get hot.&#xA;Here&amp;rsquo;s the real danger: if your wiring burns out, you get an electrical arc. And an arc is basically a detonator for a quartz envelope. Using PTFE keeps that from happening.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
