An under-desk heater has to earn its spot: quiet, dependable, and quick to respond.
What we built into it
We set the core on a carbon fiber infrared element—chosen for fast heat-up and long life. It puts out 500 W of radiant heat and runs off a standard 120 V outlet, so it won’t trip a typical office circuit. The element sits behind a sealed quartz tube—keeps dust out, keeps the heat where it should be. A reflector then directs warmth downward, where you need it most: across your feet and shins. A built-in thermostat holds a steady comfort level, and tip-over protection cuts power if the unit gets knocked over. The housing stays cool to the touch, and the footprint is slim enough to slide under most desks without fighting for space.
Why it feels right under a desk
Under-desk heating is personal, and it has to feel immediate. Infrared warmth targets you directly, not the air around you, so you feel heat within seconds instead of waiting minutes for the room to “warm up.” Because the heat is directional, you get comfort without the noise and draft of a fan heater. In a focused work session, that translates to fewer distractions, better circulation in your feet, and fewer breaks driven by cold. Energy use stays sensible, too. At 500 W, you’re warming your personal zone without blowing the office energy budget.
What to keep in mind
This unit is designed for indoor use under a desk, and it performs best when aimed at your lower legs and feet. Clearance matters. Keep paper, fabric, and cables a few inches away from the front and sides. It plugs into a standard outlet—no special wiring—but if other high-wattage devices are on the same line, use it on a dedicated circuit. The exterior stays cool, but the quartz tube gets hot. Don’t touch the heating area while it’s running. And before you order, measure the clearance under your desk. Fit is half the job.
