Built for the Elements
Since these live outdoors or in steamy rooms, we don’t mess around with the build. We seal the chassis to IP65 standards. In plain English? Dust can’t get in, and water jets won’t kill it. We put a layer of tempered glass in front of the filaments to keep moisture and grime away from the guts of the machine. Inside, there’s a high-wattage quartz halogen tube. It’s a small piece of hardware, but it packs a massive punch.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind
Before you go all-in, there are two things you need to get right. First, the power. These things pull a lot of current. If you just plug them into any old outdoor socket, you’re probably going to trip a breaker. Make sure your cabling and breakers can actually handle the load before you flip the switch. Then, there’s the placement. This is the part people usually mess up. If you mount the heater too low, it’s uncomfortable—almost too hot. Too high, and you lose that “wow” factor of instant warmth.
