The Trade-offs Now, adding connectors means you have more contact points than you would with a direct solder. That can be a problem if you use cheap parts—you get voltage drops or, worse, overheating. To stop that from happening, we use high-temp connectors that can handle the way quartz tubes expand when they get hot. It works great, as long as you make sure the connectors are seated firmly. Just click it in tight, and you’re good to go. No arcing, no drama. Thinking Long-Term Here’s the reality: quartz elements eventually wear out. It’s just physics. The filament thins over time from the constant heating and cooling until it finally snaps. But since we treat the heater as a collection of swappable parts rather than one sealed block, the main chassis can basically last forever. You only pay for the part that actually broke. It changes the whole vibe of the product. It’s not some fragile piece of consumer electronics you toss in a landfill; it’s a piece of equipment you actually own and maintain.
